The treatment

What is LED light therapy?

LED light therapy is a powerful, non-invasive treatment that uses targeted wavelengths of light to rejuvenate, repair and restore your skin from within.

Suitable for all skin types, it's fully customisable, correcting concerns like acne, redness, ageing and inflammation with no discomfort and no downtime. Painless and suitable for all areas of the face and body, it delivers long-lasting skin health and glow, whether you have it on its own or as an add-on to your other treatments.

  • Accelerating healing and strengthening skin, including before resurfacing treatments

How it works

How your treatment works.

LED light therapy delivers specific wavelengths of light into the skin, where each one does a different job:

Blue light targets acne-causing bacteria and excess oil to clear breakouts.
Green light balances tone and calms redness and irritation.
Yellow light stimulates collagen and supports healing, helpful for rosacea and post-laser care.
Red light boosts circulation and lymphatic flow to renew the skin and soften fine lines.
Near-infrared light promotes deep dermal repair by increasing ATP and white blood cell activity.

Your therapist selects and combines the wavelengths to suit your skin, so the treatment is tailored to what your skin needs on the day.

How to care for your skin afterwards

Been here before?

You've probably already spent money on skin that didn't change.

Real skin concerns don't respond to guesswork, or to whatever machine a clinic happens to own. They respond to the right treatment, at the right depth, in the right order. That is the difference between spending on your skin and actually solving it.

Why Cronulla Skin Sanctuary

Real results and genuine care

For twenty years the Shire has trusted the Sanctuary to take the guesswork out of skin. Paramedical treatments, honest advice, and a therapist who holds your history: that is the difference between a fluffy facial and a plan that actually changes your skin.

Your first appointment

The first appointment isn't a treatment.

It's ninety minutes of working out what's actually going on, what you've already tried, and what's realistic. You leave with a plan in writing covering treatment, homecare and the order to do them in.

$85Skin consultation, about 90 minutes. Virtual consultation $60.
  1. 01

    Your skin, read properly.

A full skin analysis including imaging, plus a conversation about what you've used before and how your skin reacted.

  2. 02

You get the plan in writing.

What to treat first and why, what each stage costs, and roughly how long it takes. If you do not need a treatment yet, that is the answer.

  3. 03

    You start when you're ready.

The same therapist follows your progress and adjusts the plan as your skin responds.

The plan is yours to keep whether or not you book anything on the day.

Client review

I am a beauty therapist and educator at TAFE and would only trust my skin to the specialists at Cronulla Skin Sanctuary. Their education and training, equipment and machinery are second to none.

Before you book

The honest bit: what's normal, and when to wait.

Every skin is different. Here is what tends to happen afterwards, and the times it is worth pausing to check with your therapist first.

What's normal afterwards

LED light therapy is painless and non-invasive with no downtime. Most people feel nothing more than gentle warmth, and any mild, short-lived flush settles quickly.

Your eyes are protected throughout, and the wavelengths are tailored to your skin.

When to check with us first

LED light therapy suits most people, but let us know before you book if any of the following apply:

  • You take medication that increases light sensitivity (such as some acne medications or antibiotics)
  • You have a photosensitive condition, or epilepsy triggered by light
  • You have an active skin cancer or an undiagnosed lesion in the area
  • You have an active skin infection or open or broken skin on the area
  • You're pregnant and would prefer to check first

Not sure it is right for you? A consultation covers your history, your skin and your goals before anything begins.

Good to know

Your questions, answered.

Everything worth knowing before your appointment. Still unsure which treatment suits you? A quick consultation sorts it out.

What is LED light therapy?

It's a powerful, non-invasive treatment that uses targeted wavelengths of light to rejuvenate, repair and restore your skin from within. It's painless, needs no downtime, and suits all skin types.

How do the different colours work?

Each wavelength targets specific concerns, and your treatment is customised to your skin:

  • Blue (415nm): targets acne-causing bacteria, reduces excess oil and clears breakouts
  • Green (520nm): balances skin tone and calms redness and irritation, ideal for sensitive or reactive skin
  • Yellow (590nm): stimulates collagen and supports healing, helpful for rosacea and post-laser care
  • Red (633nm): boosts circulation and renewal, and softens fine lines
  • Near-infrared (830nm): drives deep dermal repair for inflamed, ageing or healing skin
Can I add it to another treatment?

Yes. It's lovely as a standalone treatment and also works beautifully as an add-on to your other therapies, especially to calm and heal the skin.

How do I book an appointment?

Book online any time, or call the clinic during opening hours. New to a treatment? A short skin consultation is the best place to start.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes. Zip is available at checkout, so you can pay over time, and our skin memberships spread the cost of a course. Packages can be used up to 12 months later.

Will I need a consultation first?

For most advanced treatments, yes. A consultation checks your skin and history so your plan is safe, and it counts toward your treatment. Browse all treatments or ask us which suits you.

Where are you and is there parking?

You will find the clinic in the heart of Cronulla, with street parking close by. Full directions and opening hours are on our contact page.
