The treatment

What is Pico Laser?

Cronulla Skin Sanctuary offers Pico Laser Resurfacing, a non-invasive cosmetic treatment that delivers high peak power with ultra-short 300 picosecond pulses. This creates a non-thermal, photoacoustic effect designed to target unwanted pigment and stimulate the skin's deeper layers to support changes in texture and tone.

How it works

How your treatment works.

This treatment uses different wavelengths, adjustable depths and specialised handpieces.

The fractionated beams delivered through the VMLA and DOE handpieces create LIOB (Laser Induced Optical Breakdown) in the dermis and epidermis.

This formsmicro-spaces within the skin, which may stimulate the natural production of collagen and elastin.

How to care for your skin afterwards

Been here before?

You've probably already spent money on skin that didn't change.

Real skin concerns don't respond to guesswork, or to whatever machine a clinic happens to own. They respond to the right treatment, at the right depth, in the right order. That is the difference between spending on your skin and actually solving it.

Why Cronulla Skin Sanctuary

Real results and genuine care

For twenty years the Shire has trusted the Sanctuary to take the guesswork out of skin. Paramedical treatments, honest advice, and a therapist who holds your history: that is the difference between a fluffy facial and a plan that actually changes your skin.

Your first appointment

The first appointment isn't a treatment.

It's ninety minutes of working out what's actually going on, what you've already tried, and what's realistic. You leave with a plan in writing covering treatment, homecare and the order to do them in.

$85Skin consultation, about 90 minutes. Virtual consultation $60.
  1. 01

    Your skin, read properly.

A full skin analysis including imaging, plus a conversation about what you've used before and how your skin reacted.

  2. 02

You get the plan in writing.

What to treat first and why, what each stage costs, and roughly how long it takes. If you do not need a treatment yet, that is the answer.

  3. 03

    You start when you're ready.

The same therapist follows your progress and adjusts the plan as your skin responds.

The plan is yours to keep whether or not you book anything on the day.

Client review

I am a beauty therapist and educator at TAFE and would only trust my skin to the specialists at Cronulla Skin Sanctuary. Their education and training, equipment and machinery are second to none.

Good to know

Your questions, answered.

Everything worth knowing before your appointment. Still unsure which treatment suits you? A quick consultation sorts it out.

What skin concerns can Pico Laser address?

Pico Laser treatments can be used for concerns such as pigmentation (including freckles, sun spots, melasma, café au lait marks) and supporting improvements in texture, scarring, enlarged pores, stretch marks and overall skin tone.

Is Pico Laser suitable for all skin types?

Pico Laser may be considered for a wide range of skin types. Still, suitability depends on your circumstances and should always be assessed during a consultation with a qualified practitioner.

How should I prepare before my Pico Laser session?

Preparation may involve avoiding sun exposure, tanning products or certain active skincare ingredients. Your practitioner will provide instructions specific to your situation before the procedure.

How do I book an appointment?

Book online any time, or call the clinic during opening hours. New to a treatment? A short skin consultation is the best place to start.

Do you offer payment plans?
