The treatment

What is Eyelash tinting?

Eyelash tinting is a semi-permanent tint that darkens your natural lashes from root to tip.

It makes your lashes look longer, fuller and more defined, so your eyes stand out without mascara. It's a favourite for holidays, swimming and everyday ease, and works especially well if your lashes are fair at the ends.

What it helps with

Made for the concern you came in with.

Areas

Lashes

This is for you if

  • Fair or blonde lashes that need more definition
  • A mascara-free look for holidays, the pool or the gym
  • Making your eyes stand out with no daily effort
  • Lashes that look fuller and longer from root to tip
  • Anyone who finds mascara smudges or irritates their eyes

Not sure which applies to you? A skin consultation maps it to a plan.

How it works

How your treatment works.

A quick, comfortable treatment with your eyes closed throughout:

  • Your under-eye area is protected with a barrier so only your lashes take the colour.
  • A tint matched to the look you want is applied along your lashes from root to tip.
  • It develops for a few minutes, then is gently removed to reveal darker, fuller-looking lashes.

The tint coats each lash so they read longer and more defined, right to the fine, fair tips that mascara usually misses.

Been here before?

You've probably already spent money on skin that didn't change.

Real skin concerns don't respond to guesswork, or to whatever machine a clinic happens to own. They respond to the right treatment, at the right depth, in the right order. That is the difference between spending on your skin and actually solving it.

Why Cronulla Skin Sanctuary

Real results and genuine care

For twenty years the Shire has trusted the Sanctuary to take the guesswork out of skin. Paramedical treatments, honest advice, and a therapist who holds your history: that is the difference between a fluffy facial and a plan that actually changes your skin.

Your first appointment

The first appointment isn't a treatment.

It's ninety minutes of working out what's actually going on, what you've already tried, and what's realistic. You leave with a plan in writing covering treatment, homecare and the order to do them in.

$85Skin consultation, about 90 minutes. Virtual consultation $60.
  1. 01

    Your skin, read properly.

A full skin analysis including imaging, plus a conversation about what you've used before and how your skin reacted.

  2. 02

You get the plan in writing.

What to treat first and why, what each stage costs, and roughly how long it takes. If you do not need a treatment yet, that is the answer.

  3. 03

    You start when you're ready.

The same therapist follows your progress and adjusts the plan as your skin responds.

The plan is yours to keep whether or not you book anything on the day.

I am a beauty therapist and educator at TAFE and would only trust my skin to the specialists at Cronulla Skin Sanctuary. Their education and training, equipment and machinery are second to none.

Before you book

The honest bit: what's normal, and when to wait.

Every skin is different. Here is what tends to happen afterwards, and the times it is worth pausing to check with your therapist first.

What's normal afterwards

Lash tinting is gentle and needs no recovery time. Some people notice mild redness or slight sensitivity around the eyes straight afterwards, which settles quickly.

Because the treatment is close to the eye, a patch test beforehand is how we keep you safe and comfortable.

When to check with us first

Lash tinting suits most people, but because it's close to the eye, let us know before you book if any of the following apply:

  • You've had a reaction to lash or brow tint before
  • You have an eye infection, conjunctivitis, a stye, or very sensitive or watery eyes
  • You've recently had eye surgery or another eye treatment
  • You wear contact lenses (you'll usually need to remove them for the treatment)
  • You're pregnant or breastfeeding and would prefer to check first

Not sure it is right for you? A consultation covers your history, your skin and your goals before anything begins.

Good to know

Your questions, answered.

Everything worth knowing before your appointment. Still unsure which treatment suits you? A quick consultation sorts it out.

What is eyelash tinting?

Eyelash tinting is a semi-permanent tint that darkens your natural lashes from root to tip.

It makes your lashes look longer, fuller and more defined, so your eyes stand out without mascara. It's ideal if your lashes are fair at the ends, or you'd love a mascara-free look for the beach, the gym or holidays.

How long does Eyelash Tinting last?

Your tint lasts through the natural lash growth cycle, usually around 4 to 6 weeks, softening gradually as your lashes renew. Most people rebook every 4 to 6 weeks.

Does it hurt, and is it safe around my eyes?

It's completely comfortable. You rest with your eyes closed the whole time while the tint is applied and develops, then it's gently removed. Because it's so close to the eye, we take extra care and use a patch test beforehand.

How do I book an appointment?

Book online any time, or call the clinic during opening hours. New to a treatment? A short skin consultation is the best place to start.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes. Zip is available at checkout, so you can pay over time, and our skin memberships spread the cost of a course. Packages can be used up to 12 months later.

Will I need a consultation first?

For most advanced treatments, yes. A consultation checks your skin and history so your plan is safe, and it counts toward your treatment. Browse all treatments or ask us which suits you.

Where are you and is there parking?

You will find the clinic in the heart of Cronulla, with street parking close by. Full directions and opening hours are on our contact page.
